Although the island is known for its amazing diving and snorkeling, Koh Tao also features beautiful beaches and viewpoints, amazing nightlife, and some of the nicest locals you will encounter. The island truly hits all the categories of paradise and is a must visit for young backpackers.

Sitting at #2 on our list is Koh Sok National Park. This jaw-dropping area features some of the most appealing sights you will ever witness. Beautiful limestone cliffs, a massive clear blue lake, deep caves, and an untouched rainforest all come together to make Khao Sok a one of a kind experience. Monkeys, leopards, elephants, sun bears, gibbons, and even some tigers scatter the preserved region. Travelers have the opportunity to participate in a plethora of trips including expeditions into the many caves, multi-day overnight stays in the rainforest, boat trips, and much more. The island of Koh Phangan is a must visit for any party-goers. Although Koh Phangan is known for its famous Full Moon Party (an all night party on the beach that falls on every full moon), there are countless other party events that you can find on almost any night. Aside from these crazy events, the island also offers many waterfalls and some of the prettiest beaches in all of Thailand.

Bangkok is easily a top 5 location to visit in Thailand. The capital city is absolutely massive and has just about everything you could think of. It may be overwhelming initially, but it truly is one of a kind. Some of the cooler aspects include the endless beautiful temples, crazy markets, red light districts, delicious street food, and the engraved culture. You will likely fly in or out of Bangkok - it is definitely worth staying at least a few days to experience the bustling city.

The biggest island in Thailand is one of our favorite spots in the country. The best thing about Koh Chang is that its large size allows for a diversity in atmospheres. No matter what type of traveler you are, whether you’re a solo backpacking party-goer or a family with children, this island has a place for you. Another great thing about Koh Chang is the perfect balance between nature and infrastructure. There’s enough amenities (hospital, restaurants, shops, etc.) to fulfill any of your needs, but not enough to take away from the nature of the island: a huge national park, a mangrove forest, and plenty of beaches. Definitely a must visit.
